Updates from Joth and Dan

Text from Joth:

'We are just preparing for the children's programme and visiting again.
Kay says we are joyful, excited.  Kim says she doesn't want to come home!
Pray for Grace, Anne and Helen who will be sharing today and for Dan and I
who will be preaching tonight.
Much love and prayers.
Joth'

Full text from earlier

The full text in regards to the last post:

'The week is going well and we are all being challenged by the opportunities before us.
Please pray for the children's progremme and the visiting that will take place.
Last night we played football against the village adult team and won (winning goal from Tim).
We have a rematch tonight.
We will be sharing more about our trip and faith with them tonight.
Pray for Kay's swollen ankle, Anita's aching thumbs and I have a sore throat.
Other than that we are all in good health but tired.
Love and prayers to you all.
Joth & Co'

Update (another one)

Anne got a text through from Joth this morning. I can't remember all of it, but the gist of it is that the team are in good spirits still, they played an impromptu game of football last night and Tim scored the winning goal!
However, there are a couple of minor injuries to pray for - Anita has sore thumbs and one person (either Kay or Kim I think) has a swollen ankle.

Update

Text from Dan this morning:

'twas good- i was part of the children team yest, lots of running! In evening played footb match against village team with pastor and team members (by fluke- not planned). We won! Tim scored

bat dying hence shortness. Today im visiting. Looking forward to that'

Update from last night:

Text from Joth:
'We have had a great day.
The team are gelling well and have been doing a great job.
Temperature very hot and a few are a little sunburned but everyone is fit and well and in very good spirit.
Thanks for your prayers.  Love to everyone. '

Please thank God that their first day has gone well, and pray for these good spirits to continue throughout the week. Also, for the healing of that sunburn!

Today's Update

The children's mission has started with one part of the mission team

The other part of the team are visiting the elderly to do some gardening. (Remember it'll be much hotter in Moldova than here)

And Dan and Alan are the only people in a home with running water, shower and flushing toilet

Please pray that despite the heat and poor living conditions, they will be able to serve God in everything they do.
Pray for strength and energy to keep them going during the week.
Also, pray for the people they will be helping.
